New Baby, New Space…New Storage Then Too, Right?!

We always love installation days. Our most recent project had us designing a better-appointed entryway to accommodate two new little feet, and a dining area that’s intended to get this lovely new family around the table…and lots of others! The home is terribly charming, a bit set back among the deer, where even egrets are easily a daily sighting. The trouble was that the house was lacking in helpful functionality. In our turnstylistway, we tackled this issue throughout with custom built-ins to give the family a hub for easily getting in and out of the door. Mail storage, shoe storage, baby (stuff) and pet items, too, now have a place and feel like they belong.

A wonderful wallpaper sets this area off and marries it with the home’s natural setting. On the other side of the room, a stunning blue velvet loveseat sets up a spot for a personalized reading nook, and keeps things sweet for extra dashes of needed rest throughout the day. As for the dining space, a subtle geometric rug with the loveliest color scheme was circle-cut to define an area, but not take over. With a modern light fixture, and a comfortable and rounded seating bench (who doesn’t want to sit on a bench?!), the dining area is perfect for this growing family. Easy, breezy and welcoming for spending time in and around.
