Lieve’s Travel Guide

HAMPSHIRE

This part of the English coast is a beautiful combination of rugged seaside, forests, and horse country. Lagoons, salt-marshes and tidal mudflats — we loved exploring this quaint region in chillier weather.

PARIS

I never tire of the intimacy and vibrancy of the City of Lights. Yes, it is large and chaotic and diverse, but of all the large metropolitan European cities, I find it has the most village-like feels with neighborhoods connecting you through a labyrinth of excitement.

BRUSSELS

The city that I grew up in, it was time that my teenage children really experienced Brussels through the eyes of my childhood, my extended family and also as the place where my husband and I met and fell in love.

GREECE

One of our best friends from college is Greek, and as an art history student, I was always mesmerized by its ancient civilizations and philosophy. When our friends suggested we meet them there, it was the perfect reason to make it happen.

Please enjoy my very personal guide as your own. Take it as a way to see these things from afar, or if you are able, go on your own escapades. Travel always widens our acceptance of others and gives the deep appreciation of a new perspective.
